| Opposite Metung, across Bancroft Bay, is an area fondly known as 'The Island'. It's not really an island as it is part of a long arm of land that stretches from Loch Sport. However, access is really only by boat. Part of The Island is residential, and part the Gippsland Coastal Park. There is a public jetty - Silvershot - that is nice to moor at in a south-easterly. You're sure to see lots of kangaroos. |
