Catalina 28 | | Sleeps up to 6 people | | | | The Catalina 28 is set up for ease of sailing and comfortable accommodation making it the perfect choice for a couple, small family or group of friends. Accommodating up to six people, the Catalina 28 offers a two cabin layout and a clever design that is both inviting and convenient.
The Catalina 28 features a walk through transom and a stern boarding platform for ease of access. The cockpit has long bench seats and two stern rail perches, offering great visibility. The cockpit seat lockers offer a huge amount of storage for the extra bits and pieces you need to store, such as flippers and masks, fishing gear and so on.
The main cabin is filled with natural light, teak and oak finishes and loads of ventilation. The galley and head are located aft for ease of access from the cockpit. This arrangement is ideal for families with small children as the galley is positioned out of the walk through creating a cooking space that is separate from the living space. The fully equipped galley has a gimbaled stainless steel stove with two burners and oven, a locker for utensils, pans and dried food, basin and fridge. The bathroom has a marine toilet with holding tank, a hot shower and basin.
All sail controls lead to the cockpit providing effortless handling of sail trimming. This aspect and the size of the Catalina 28 make it a popular choice for those learning to sail. It is also a very popular choice with experienced sailors who know the potential of this beauty.
