How we collect information:
We collect information from our web-site, from emails, phone calls and letters, and from visits to our office. You do not have to provide any details unless you wish to.
If you wish to book with us we must have your name and address, contact details, and (where relevant) your age. To comply with Marine Safety Victoria requirements we will need these details for any member of your party who will be steering the boat.
If you wish to buy fishing licences through us, we will need your name and address and date of birth.
We do not collect other sensitive information, except in the circumstances where you wish to volunteer it in the context of requesting us to provide for special needs on the vessel.
You can access and correct any information that we hold about you. Please contact us by phone, mail or e-mail as above.
What we do with your details:
We keep your details on our computer database, or, in the case of charter contracts or fishing licences, on hard copy.
We use the information to send you details of our boating holidays and related packages. You may also receive our newsletter.
You may request to be removed from our data base at any time if you have not chartered with us.
If you have chartered with us, we are required by the Marine (Hire and Drive Vessels) Act 2001 to retain the records of the charter for a minimum period of 12 months.
To whom do we disclose this information:
If you have booked a holiday package with us, we may disclose this information to our partners to allow them to deliver their part of the package.
We will also comply with a request for information from the police, from Marine Safety Victoria, or other relevant authority, or, in any emergency, to protect the health or safety of our guests or their property.
We may also pass your details to our insurers in the event of an accident during a charter.
The information on the fishing licences is sent to the Department of Sustainability and the Environment.
We do not pass your details to any other organisation or individual for promotional or marketing purposes.
What happens if you chose not to provide this information:
We will not be able to send you information about our boating holidays and related packages. We will not be able to accept a booking from you or sell you a fishing licence.
|We reserve the right to take photographs of our vessels while they are on charter. Where it is possible to identify the people in the photograph, we will not use it for promotional purposes without first obtaining the permission of those appearing in the photograph.|
